The obesity epidemic has affected all Americans, but it has hit
African-American women the hardest.
Almost 60% of black women are obese, compared with 32% of white women and 41% of Hispanic women.
This trend is decreasing black women's life expectancy and increasing our chances of developing a host of ailments, such as high blood pressure, diabetes (type 2), heart disease, stroke, gallbladder disease
and cancer of the breast, and colon.
This can only be changed by each one of us making a commitment to
start with ourselves...TODAY.
