Meet Kaysie! She is rockin' her natural in California! She says: "The natural hair community is tiny here to say the least so when I did my big  chop (June 28, 2010) My first thought was" Wow, I did it!", immediately followed by, "now what am I going to do?"  My hair has grown quite a bit since then and I feel amazing. This natural thing gets better everyday.

Let me say, I love the shirts and I have received major compliments. They are certainly a conversation piece especially amongst those that are not natural. Thank you so much. You are doing your thing!"

Meet Tajiler! She is rockin' her natural in Indiana. She says: "My daddy passed in June 2010....and I got my hair permed for the funeral for the last time!....it burned soooo bad I felt like Denzel Washington in that Malcolm X movie...I just wanted to dump my head in a toilet and get it out!...I decided nope not anymore!....so I transitioned for 5 months....not knowing I was actually transitioning....I just assumed I was.automatically  natural since I stopped relaxing my hair....I went to a natural stylist thinking she could style my "natural" hair like I see on TV...WRONG!....it was curly frizzy ugly cute...so in April 2011 after doing much youtubing n research I did the BC and can honestly say its the best hair decision I've ever made!!...

I don't have much of a regimen but do know that CONDITIONING is the key to my hairs success.....I use Kinky Curly Knot Today and Custard after my weekly wash and in between washes I use coconut oil and hair milk to fluff my hair...natural hair has given me extra confidence on top of my loving me confidence and I just love my signature flowers and bows I get from my "flower dealer"!!....I rep the Plus Sized Naturalite Girls!!!...
I can be reached on Facebook & Gmail @ TanjiBailey ......2 fingers..."

Meet Shante' Denise! She is rockin' her natural from Louisiana! She says "I decided to go fully natural in Spring of 2006. I always wore natural styles with my permed hair, and growing up I didn't realized how much damage I let others do to my hair with chemicals, until I was old enough to be responsible for my own hair health.  I kept struggling with permed hair and natural hair going back and forth, I didnt see alot of natural girls  growing up so I had no I idea where to start! But in Spring of 2006 I went for it! I  was a junior in college in New Orleans, LA and I just grew my permed hair out, by just wearing natural style like straw curls and luckily I have a hobby of styling hair. So I just wore that style I grew in completely out. Then I cut my permed hair off that surrounded my baby fro'. It was such a liberating experience! Five years later, the possibilities are endless!!! I walk around and with my crown styled a different way 2-3 times a week. I love all of the options that we have and knowing that my hair is beautiful and gorgeous right from the scalp. I seek to be an inspiration to girls and women who want to go natural but at stuck in what the media, peers, society may expect of them. Go for it! Buy the right products, and make the cut!!

Meet Virgillette! She is rockin' from Wisconsin and has been natural for 10 months! Look at the style she has about her! She says:

My favorite hair care products are WEN lavender cleansing conditioner, glycerin, castor oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil and castor oil. Eco-styler gel or aloe vera gel.

I gave the first time because of what family said and my own lack of confidence. If you're already considering going natural that shows you want something different. Transitioning? You're halfway there girl. Already big chopped?? Keep going and embrace it! For all of you, for us, don't let anyone influence decide how you should look, feel, behave. We are so blinded by what society thinks is 'acceptable' we forget ourselves. It's amazing that out of the billions of people in the world there is no exactly like you!

Meet Tanisha! She is rockin' her natural is Florida. She says: "I am Afro centric Sista from Florida; I’ve been natural since 2005. I’ve gone from premed hair, did the big chop in 2005, wore an afro for about a year and a half, did dread locks in 2007 and from locks decided to go natural in 2011. As of February 2011 it took me 5 ½ day to take down the locks. I decided one day that I wanted to show my natural beauty, don’t get me wrong I loved the locks nut they were hiding my natural beauty. I love the fact on being into my native roots and having a natural state.   Since taking down the locks I’ve had a hard time with my hair being course, frizzing and a lack of body (it was just rough) until I really research what it really means to be natural. With all that being said I’ve started using only all natural products such as Baking Soda, Apple Cider Vinegar, Mayo, Vitamin E Oil, and Eggs. With using these products as my cleaning and condition agents has given me some satisfactory results with the first week of using them.  Being natural has made me feel more beautiful weather I wear a afro or a twist out I look stunning. So to all those who’s afraid of the transition trust me you’ll love the outcome of being natural. The photos below are the most recent and before"

Tips for being natural
  1. Never stop trying to see what prodcuts and styles work for you
  2. Dont spend a lot of money on products. There are products out there that won't "Set-you back-a-few".
  3. Dont conform or give up on your natural hair. Believe it or not people will look up to your for wearing your natural hair. It comes off as brave to others!! TRULY!
  4. Shop for products outside of the African-American Hair Care section, don't limit yourself to other great products that are not traditionally made for African-American people.

Meet Poonie! She is rockin' her natural in Columbus, GA. She says:  "I've been natural for 5 months now. My favorite products to use are Knot today conditioner, Eco Styler gel and Patene moisturizing shampoo and weekly steam treatments. I decided to go natural 5  months ago because I realized how the chemical from a relaxer were eating up or burning my skin. My hair was beginning to thin out and I was ready for a healthy change. So, after having micro braids for 4 months, I decided to get the clippers and shave my head better known as the " Big Chop".  I read and read about the big chop and how to maintain it before i took that drastic step. Once I did it, I never looked back. I love it because its so versatile. Your hair grows very fast natural as long as you maintain the moisture in it and your hair looks beautiful short and natural. I cut my hair 5 months ago with 2 inches of hair left, now 5 months later my hair has grown 5 more inches.  The first time I chopped it off, the first few days was a struggle because it refuses to act right but with the right products, patients and accessories, being natural is the place to be.

Now that my hair is getting longer I am so excited about wearing a puff, I tried as you can see in one of my pics but it is a little short, I want height in it.  I love my new look especially when men say they like my hair, I know I made a great choice.
